Beaucoup Weisse is a special version of Zapato‘s fruited Berliner Weisse, brewed for Pucker Up 2023 – Kobenhavn‘s 2023 sour beer festival (it will also feature at Calderdale Camra’s 2023 beer festival).
Pilsner, wheat, acidulated malt and oats form a soft, tangy cereal canvas. Large amounts of raspberries and rhubarb have been added to the base and this version has been ‘dry-fruited’ with lingonberries (for that Scandinavian edge!) to create a refreshing, light beer with a dry, tart flavour.
Pinky red in colour, it’s fresh, clean & spritzy.
It’s nicely tart and slightly lactic, with a wonderful drying finish. Perfect for a session!
